Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil claims 'I have got no time for fake people' as he poses for picture with his friends in Los Angeles

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil appears to have hit out at his critics by taking to Instagram to say he does not have 'time for fake people'. 

Ozil, who is currently on holiday in Los Angeles, also revealed he refers to his close mates as 'family' rather than friends. 

The 26-year-old midfielder posed with seven of his 'family' members for a picture which would not look out of place on the front of a boyband album cover.

Ozil later posted a picture of himself playing football tennis in the Californian sunshine as he continued to relax in America ahead of the new season. 

The former Real Madrid star was pictured partying in West Hollywood earlier this week. He was mobbed by adoring fans as he made his way out of popular nightspot Bootsy Bellows.

Ozil will be hoping to improve his goalscoring tally next season after netting just five goals for Arsenal during the 2014-15 campaign.
